Helen Griffiths - Therapist

Helen is an MST therapist and one of the original team members from May 2020. Helen made the jump from working with toddlers in her previous role to teenagers. Prior to MST Helen worked in the Family Centres supervising one of the Flying Start groups, completing 1:1 parenting and PAMs assessments. Helen has a BA hons in Childhood Studies. Helen is fully committed to MST and will do ‘What ever it takes’ for the families and uses her skill set to ensure that family feels supported. Helen finds that working to a model is a structured way to support families and able to identify what is driving the behaviour that’s being shown. Working across all the ecologies removes judgement that families can feel and increases responsibility of others to support with behaviour. The oversight from the supervisor and consultant scaffolds a present focused, action oriented and well defined actions of treatment. The positive and strength focused model creates a positive environment in often dark and difficult times for families. Helen’s passion for MST can be heard and seen when discussing the impact it has and the success seen for families.

Helen hobbies include beginners ballet, swimming, strength training and recently completed her Level 3 in Personal Training. Helen enjoys cold water swimming in lakes and the sea.
