Meet the Limerick MST team
Michelle Kennedy, MST Supervisor
Michelle has managed the Bail Supervision Scheme in Limerick since 2020, providing strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and operational coordination to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based support to young people and families engaged with the youth justice system. She holds an Honours BA Degree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care, which underpins her strong grounding in social care principles, child development, and systemic family work.
With twenty years of experience in the social care field, Michelle has worked across a wide range of services, including homelessness supports, youth justice initiatives, and family work within the Child Protection system. This breadth of experience has provided her with a deep understanding of the complex social, emotional, and structural factors that influence the lives of vulnerable young people and their families.
Michelle has spent more than twelve years in management roles, overseeing diverse services and leading multidisciplinary teams through periods of development, change, and service enhancement. While she has excelled across various sectors, she remains particularly passionate about juvenile justice projects. Her work in this area reflects her belief in early intervention, strengths‑based practice, and the transformative impact that tailored supports can have on a young person’s trajectory.
